My name is Jesse and I am a guitarist who lives in Seattle, WA. I graduated from the University of Southern California with Cum Laude Honors in 2015 who maintains a busy schedule performing.
I began teaching beginning guitar lessons to friends and classmates in high school. Ever since I picked up the guitar, I knew it was something that I wanted to pursue professionally because of the joy that it brought me. Being able to share that with other people is something I am very passionate about. I continued teaching beginning guitar and advanced jazz harmony to other guitarists in the music program to help pay tuition in college at USC.
My teaching method is very flexible to a student's learning style, as I am very aware that each student learns differently and have different goals. Seeing students succeed and have fun making progress and improving as a musician brings me a lot of joy!
My goal is to make the learning process as fun as possible! One of the ways I do that is giving the student the opportunity to experiment with improvisation and explore the instrument during lessons and for when they practice at home to supplement formal teaching.
Teaching guitar students and tailoring lesson plans to students learning styles and goals!
I accompanied students in lessons in classes taught by Seattle vocalists Johnaye Kendrick and Kelly Ash on the guitar.
I teach guitar students in their homes primarily on the Eastside. This is a great organization to work with!!
I was responsible for hiring musicians for performances as well as making readable charts to make rehearsals and performances run as smoothly as possible. I helped coach Olivia on musical direction with her songs as well as specifics on arrangements.

I've been taking lessons with Jesse for 9 months now, and highly recommend him. While, he is very knowledgeable and specializes in jazz guitar, he has also helped me learn several pop tunes that I have been interested in.
I have been taking lessons from Jesse for almost a year.
Jesse is a fantastic guitar player, and
he is an experienced and effective teacher.
From the first lesson he has been clear, concise, and serious about my progress on the guitar and bass guitar.
Jesse displays a strong passion for guitar playing and teaching and his in depth understanding of the subject comes across in his lessons.
His lessons are very well thought out. I would highly recommend Jesse if you want to take your guitar playing to the next level.
I have been a friend of Jesse's since Highschool.. I have always admired his positive approach to music, the guitar, and anything else he speaks of. Recently, we had a Skype lesson and I had asked Jesse about accompaniment, (as singing and playing is something I want to move forward with)...his time spent with me was organized, precise, and very very knowledgeable as well as enjoyable! I felt I was gettin a clear sense of were to start and how to approach what I want to work on. Also, Skype lessons are logged so all the information is stored, and you can go back and revisit the material. Jesse is an excellent musician and instructor. Even if you are not a guitar player, any instrumental principle could work with him and grow from a duo setting experience.+ Read More
I took lessons from Jesse when he was at USC. As a beginner I found his teaching style easy to follow and with practice I improved quicker than another teacher I tried. Would highly recommend him to any other students.
He's the best because I don't have anyone else to compare him to. Also he is amazing at teaching the basics! Went through what other instructors would do in 2 months in a single week! (Nate - age 9)
