About Jessica D.

Ms. Dunham has been teaching private lessons since 2013 and is currently available to teach lessons in your home to a growing number of students. Ms. Dunham has helped students master difficult repertoire, compose original pieces, refine advanced technique, and build the confidence to perform publicly.

Ms. Dunham received her training through a personal mentorship by one of the foremost piano teachers in Vermont. A natural talent, Ms. Dunham is continuing her education through regular performances, and composing original as well as arranged pieces. She combines her musical training with her expertise in early childhood education and development to create a unique experience for parent and child. A child centered practice; Ms. Dunham’s teaching style is individual, fun, and developmentally appropriate.

Currently, Ms. Jessa is actively improving her business in specific ways:

• Expanding the studio library & organizing it efficiently
• Integrating a fun music history program to complement lessons
• Developing more effective ways to strengthen hand and finger dexterity
• Launching a website with more information
• And more!

*** Lesson Details ***
Students are required to practice daily and Ms. Dunham encourages students to track their practice in age appropriate ways. With incentives for practice there is constant motivation from day one to succeed.

Parents are welcome to sit in on lessons but Ms. Dunham asks that you be sensitive to the difference in your child’s behavior in and out of your presence. Children will often be more at ease without the watching and caring, eye of a parent. However, parents are not discouraged from attending with their child.

Recital participation is mandatory as it is an important factor in your child’s education. Please be supportive of your child’s pending performance even if they are timid; if there are concerns please bring them up with Ms. Dunham.

*** Specialties ***
Classical, New Age, Composition, Improv

Great Teacher!!

My 10 year old Son, has been taking lessons from Jessa for about 6 weeks now - he has learnt in leaps and bounds from Jessa. She is very patient, kind and very precise in explaining to my son, she is very clear and has a great way with children. I have appreciated her professionalism, and especially helping him believe in himself and build his self confidence. This has been a very positive experience in many ways. I highly recommend Jessa as a piano teacher - we love her!!!
