I began playing guitar by ear around age ten. I learned rock songs from records for a few years, and then I began a more serious study of theory in high school. Over the next several years I alternated between pursuing my music degree and playing in bands around the midwest. In 2004, I transferred from Indiana University to Sonoma State to focus completely on jazz and finish my degree. I have worked with groups and privately, with all ages and skill levels. I am very flexible with the direction of your study and will help you with whatever aspects of your playing you would like to develop. *** Lesson Details *** As a teacher, I am here for your development. I will do my best to take the lessons in the direction that you want to go, while still providing adequate instruction in music fundamentals. *** Studio Equipment *** Large room w/ seating for parents *** Travel Equipment *** I provide my own guitar for examples, and i bring a pencil. Student provides guitar, and if they want to they provide a book. Otherwise I create a custom curriculum from scratch and they provide staff paper. *** Specialties *** I have studied classical guitar, jazz, and have played mostly rock and pop gigs.

Amazing instructor! Takes his time explaining things!
During the first session, Jeremy immediately had a sense of what I needed to learn in order to develop my guitar playing. Patient and experienced, I’m excited for what’s to come!
Aloha! I am a student from Hawaii! Wow, my words are not enough to express how awesome Jeremy is as a teacher. What a wonderful person he is, he is so friendly and patient. It is extremely difficult for me to learn anything but he make it super easy. It’s also really cool that he has an online option so I can learn anywhere. I must say, I am very proud of myself and how much I’ve accomplished through his teachings. I highly recommend Jeremy and you will not regret it! Amazing teacher and I am grateful. Thank you Jeremy and please don’t ever stop teaching! Mahalo!
