Overview

I am an accomplished performing musician that has experience playing many different instruments in multiple styles. I believe first and foremost that learning music should be fun and exciting with an emphasis on self exploration and communication. It's these qualities in my own musicianship that have helped me grow a true love of music and have pushed my career forward as a performer.

*** Lesson Details ***
In lessons I use a shifting curriculum that is made to work with the needs of each individual student. I firmly believe in the importance of learning to read music and learning some basic music theory, in my experience this helps the student grow from being able to reproduce the music of others to eventually developing a unique style and sound. After three to six months my beginning level students typically feel comfortable enough to play with other musicians confidently.

*** Studio Equipment ***
The In-Studio lessons take place in the living room seating and a guitar are available. 1 cat and 1 small dog kept separate during lessons.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I will provide all of the necessary educational tools such as listening samples, and printed off hand outs. The student needs to have their own instrument, staff paper and a pencil.

My first lesson with Jeremy was fantastic. He tuned right in (no pun intended) to what I wanted to learn about right after we spoke the first time. He obviously knows his stuff and I look forward to spending more time taking lessons from him.

Jeremy is incredibly knowledgeable in every aspect of music, I find myself learning much more than just the guitar! His methods make me feel comfortable with his teaching style and he's extremely patient with me as I'm trying to learn new chords, shapes and scales. I highly recommend someone who is ready to learn any type of instrument as he teaches all different kinds and someone who has become my friend over time! Thanks for everything Jeremy, I look forward to continuing learning!

One lesson so far and my son is inspired and motivated to practice and master the scales and the other "homework" Jeremy gave him to do. My son is 12 and he was very impressed with Jeremy saying he learned more in 45 minutes with him than in two weeks at band camp. Jeremy is calm, knowledgeable and patient and I am very happy with my decision to encourage my son with his guitar playing. Thanks Jeremy - very pleased we found you!

We have loved our teacher and this home-guitar arrangement. It is great for a busy family. Jeremy knows how to get my son to pay attention and really enjoy the lesson. We are very happy! I asked my son what rating to give Jeremy and he said "is there any rating bigger than excellent?"
