Jennifer Lam Wait, Soprano, has been performing since the age of six. Through her childhood she performed in numerous musicals including an international tour of Annie and Harlem Kids Symphony. Jennifer also sang jingles for television commercials.
At the University of the Arts, Jennifer received her Bachelors in Vocal Performance. During college, Jennifer sang Jazz vocals at various restaurants in Eastern Pennsylvania. After graduation, She moved to New York City, to further her music career.
Jennifer was a cantor at St Malachy’s Church for three years, and performed as a soloist for many of their concerts. Jennifer also performed a leading role with the regional touring group Opera on the Go, in the production of Little Red Riding Hood. She also performed a cabaret act at the Restaurant Dillons. Jennifer continued to study voice at the Julliard School’s evening program under the direction of Soprano Dodi Protero. In 2005 Jennifer performed her first concert with fellow Soprano Regina DeCuzzi, called Opera and other Scary Things.
After moving back to New Jersey, Jennifer has performed in numerous productions with the Amici Opera Company, including Don Carlo, Zingari, and Edipo Re. Jennifer recently completed the role of chorus at Curtic Music School's production of Mozart's Idomeneo. She is a Core singer with Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia.
In addition to performing, Jennifer is a voice teacher, and a member of NATS, the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
