I am a teaching artist who has lived in various parts of the country. I have taught in NYC and in Texas. I have two Masters Degrees in Music: one from the University of North Texas in Opera Performance and one from The City University of New York, Lehman College in Applied Teaching. It is my belief that vocal technique is mastered over time. Students will be given tangible techniques to practice. I also believe that music repertoire is vital in the learning process, so students will be given songs to learn. These songs will help in the learning of specific techniques for each student. I am also available to teach Sight Reading and Music Theory. Not only do Many jobs in the music industry depend on this skill, but it has been scientifically proven that the brain is engaged fully during the Sight Reading process therefore effectively benefiting reading, math, and scientific scores.
