Teaching since:

Music is my life. Ever since I first picked up a pair of drum sticks when I was 6 years old I’ve been hooked. Throughout my youth I had many incredible teachers, and, as a public school music teacher myself, I often reflect on what made my past teachers so amazing and I strive to exhibit those qualities when I teach. Those teachers had passion for their subject, and patience and empathy for struggling new learners. When students were lost, confused or stuck on something they tried alternate ways of bridging the connection to help the student “get it”. And then, when the student achieved their goal, they were met with that amazing “AHA! Moment”. And that moment brings joy not only to the student but to be teacher as well.

It’s such a wonderful gift, to share music with others. I hope to share my gift with you! Thank you for taking the time to read my bio - happy playing! :-)

Ableton · Online

My first experience trying to use Ableton was a terror! I watched youtube videos but still couldn't figure out the basics. Within 3 lessons (via skype) with Jason I was able to create a track that I actually liked and retained the skills for future work. I am very happy with my Ableton lesson with Jason and highly recommend him.

I've played guitar for many years but have felt stuck at the same 'level' for a while. In just a few quick lessons Jason really elevated my skills beyond what i could've hoped for. A super kind, talented, and helpful guy! Very Grateful! Thank You Jason!
