About Jane G.
I began taking piano lessons at the age of 6 from our church organist, Beth Rasmussen. I took beginning lessons from her for approximately 2 years, at which time she felt she could no longer meet my needs. I then studied with Nancy Nielson Prigmore, a student of Lowell Farr, for 2 years. She majored in Piano Performance at the University of Utah, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. I then began to study classical piano with Lenora Ford (Neal) Brown ( 6 years), who was a student of Gladys Gladstone Rosenberg and a finalist for the Mu Phi Epsilon Sterling Staff International Competition. I studied more modern piano techniques and arrangements with Carol Fowler, who was an accomplished pianist from my church.
I studied Music History at Brigham Young University, and I have played and performed at a variety of church and other public occasions.
I have been teaching private piano lessons since 1989, and have over 25 years of experience with teaching a variety of ages and abilities.
