- Teaching since:
I started teaching private violin/fiddle lessons around seven years ago, and I have since then learned that teaching is a huge passion of mine. During my experiences while getting my bachelors degree in human anatomy as the lead basic science tutor on campus, I’ve discovered that learning is not a math problem-- it's a dynamic team effort put forth by both the teacher and student. I’ve spent the past two years figuring out how to develop an online program that helps students learn in the way that works best for them, not necessarily the way that works best for me. I’ve made a serious of music instructional videos that help students learn music on their own, in a way that matches their learning style. Qualifications for this include placing in championship fiddle divisions across the country such as the Colorado State Fiddle Championship, Kiowa Fiddle Contest, Greely Fiddle Contest, Canon City Fiddle Competition, and many more across many years. I also moved down to Texas in 2015 and was instantly recruited by a high profile local bluegrass band (The Quibble Brothers) with whom I have been playing with since-- we have recorded one CD labeled “Quibble Brothers Volume 1”, available on Spotify and iTunes.
