I am a life long musician that grew up playing Blues and Rock before taking my talents to the test at Florida State University where I was Classically trained. In my time at FSU I competed and performed regularly at both the collegiate and professional levels. From there I began my teaching career part-time by teaching private lessons and over the last 6 years I have taught students of all ages interests. I have taught in both public and private studio environments, but choose private to ensure that the student receive the help they need to be successful; it's about quality not quantity for me. My teaching philosophies have allowed me to open and even and successfully operate a licensed music studio. I teach because I love to not because I have to and is why I can simply say... My goal is your success! *** Lesson Details *** All lessons are customized to the students interests, goals, and learning desires. I am laid back and have patience to help intermediate student work though the plateaus that can discourage players and detailed oriented to construct the foundation for the beginners while making lessons fun. I teach all styles, genres, music theory, finger/flat picking techniques, and everything in between by using a wide variety of books, studies, and writing custom lesson plans. *** Studio Equipment *** Designated studio space, space for parents sit in lessons or in the next room, amps, guitars, bass guitar, student must provide own instrument. *** Travel Equipment *** I provide all lesson material and my personal guitar. Students should have a quite spot and a guitar t be able to maximize their lesson time. *** Specialties *** I have taught all styles of guitar and played rock, blues, classical, and jazz genres at a high level. All lessons are customized to the learners needs and goals.
