    About Jacob D.

My name is Jacob and I've been a tuba player for over 12 years with experience on trombone and euphonium through out those years. I'm currently the principal tuba player with the Mankato Symphony Orchestra and am finishing my Masters degree in Tuba Performance at UMN. I've had the opportunity to perform with high level groups such as the Minnesota Orchestra, Miami City Ballet Orchestra, Royal Winnipeg Ballet Orchestra, and Wilmington Symphony Orchestra. I've also had success in solo competitions including 1st Place at the Leonard Falcone International Tuba and Euphonium Competition and the Southeast Regional Tuba and Euphonium Conference Solo Competition. I've studied with top musicians including Steve Campbell and Tom McCaslin, both prominent tuba players in the world of orchestral playing. I always strive to have a positive learning environment and I make sure that students not only receive instruction in music but in life as well. I look forward to meeting you soon!
