Hello! My name is Jacob. I've been playing drums for 15 years and have played extensively in the southern California area. I've held residencies at numerous clubs and restaurants including Downtown Disney and Disney's California Adventure. I'm currently a performance major at Cal State Fullerton. I've been teaching for two years now and have found it to be really rewarding. My main goal is to help you foster a love for the drums, which will inevitably and undoubtedly make you the player you are meant to be. We will achieve this together by listening to our favorite players/bands, exploring rhythms and sounds, and discovering what it is that makes the drums so appealing to us. Of course, technique and fundamentals will be priority (you need to know how to speak a language before you can say something beautiful!) Our lessons will be tailored to you. Half will be what I believe you should practice (technique/fundamentals), the other half will be what YOU want to play and how to go about practicing it.
