I'm Jackie. I've been teaching violin for almost 5 years kids 5 years and up and adults. My teaching goals are synced with my student's or my students' parents. Some wish to fiddle, others want to learn polkas, whatever it is my goal is to help you reach yours. With daily practice, my beginner students learn twinkle little star within the first 2 or 3 weeks. I use the Suzuki books, different level scale systems and I Can Read Music volume 1. I also integrate history and composers in my lessons.

I work with students of all ages and am very passionate about the violin. I teach music theory at the same time as playing the violin. I have 11 students at Marshall music but would like more. The youngest student I have currently is 5, the oldest is 23. I am 20 years old and have been playing for 9 years. I studied violin performance at Grand Valley State University with Gregory Maytan, and the Suzuki method with Jim Butler.
