I am very friendly and understanding. Lessons will not be a lecture or a test. My goal is for you to grow! Lessons will be very interactive, with room for students to ask questions and try new techniques. I am very flexible in teaching style depending on the student's background and preferences. I will provide advice and tips for improving sound, technique, and musicality. I will provide exercises, etudes, and popular tunes for the student to incorporate into their practice routine. My primary goal is for the student to learn and understand how to improve and grow, even if on their own. Feel free to message me if you're interested!

Hello! I am Isaac. I am a jazz saxophonist and recording artist. Jazz is my life. I started playing saxophone in my Sophomore year of high school, and am now in my second year of college studying music at the State College of Florida. For the year of 2022, I was awarded "Best Student of Jazz" and "Most Improved Woodwind". At my college, I am first tenor sax in the jazz ensemble, and I also work as a music theory tutor. I teach a variety of ages and experience levels, from early childhood up to the college level. I play tenor, alto, and baritone saxophone. My secondary instruments include piano, guitar, and clarinet. My students will be a given a strong groundwork in their playing from which they can grow and improve, regardless of preferred style or genre. They will be taught how to approach music both analytically and emotionally, and encouraged to play confidently. My preferred genre is jazz, but I also have a strong background in classical, latin, and commerical music. I look forward to helping you play!

As lead tenor, I play a key role in adding harmony to the ensemble, and feature heavily as a soloist. I give advice to my fellow saxophonists both in reading music and improvising. I also sometimes double on alto and baritone saxophone.
