I am a professional pianist. I have 2 years of teaching experience along with 7 years of performance experience. I teach piano to students ages 8 – 35. Beginner piano students will learn about basic techniques and music theory along with how to apply these elements to understanding and playing music. Students can expect to see improvement in their technique each week. I have been classically trained in piano for 14+ years. Through my teachings, I can help my students excel in sight reading through various exercises. Rudimentary knowledge of music theory such as, scales, chords, ear training and beginner level repertoire will be provided and/or recommended to my students. My philosophy is to become the best pianist you can be by having fun while learning music. As a pianist, I love playing other genres of music as well. However, I believe in learning the basics of music theory to create a solid foundation in playing every genre of music. As your teacher, I would help you each step of the way to reach your goal and become a better pianist.
