I like to make music lessons fun! We'll learn material chosen by both the student and the teacher to ensure that our lessons are inspiring and engaging. We'll work hard to improve your skills and technique while also learning songs of your choosing. I began taking piano lessons when I was 7. I recently studied with the respected jazz pianist, Dr. Stephen Anderson, during my four years at the University of North Carolina. In high school, I played piano in numerous rock and jazz groups. In college, I played piano in the University Jazz Combos for four consecutive semesters. Today, I'm an experienced jazz and pop/rock pianist. I also play keyboards with the touring rock act, Frute. If you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced pianist or keyboardist, I would love to give you lessons. I hope I can help you out on your musical journey!

Thanks for checking out my page! My name is Ian and I've been a musician for most of my life. I teach piano, electric bass and voice. I graduated in May of 2021 with a BA in Jazz Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have been playing the piano for 15 years and the electric bass for 7 years. I am currently a certified music instructor with Eclectic Music in Atlanta, GA. I also am a touring musician, playing keyboards and singing in the rock act, Frute. When I'm not playing music, I'm reading sci-fi and fantasy. I also love rock climbing and hiking. If you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced pianist or keyboardist, I would love to give you lessons! If you are a beginning bassist or vocalist, I can also help you out. I love music, but most of all, I love playing music with other people. I hope I can help you out on your musical journey!

Ian is an amazing instructor. He has been working with my four year old son. Ian is so patient and gentle. He is flexible and works soo well with my toddler. My son is learning songs and enjoys playing the piano. The home work assigned is easy for us parents to follow and help my young son.
