Henry is a great bass teacher. He teaches a lot of standard repertoire but also makes a huge effort to find music that the students are interested in and listen to outside of lessons and playing (Me and two other students are learning how to play Bohemian Rhapsody in a bass trio). He knows how to approach a piece of music or a new technique being taught from many different angles and is good at explaining things. He is a master at finding fingerings and teaching bowing technique. Henry is not super strict and is pretty nice. He is a little more on the soft-spoken side, not super rambunctious. Good bass teacher and easy to get along with. I personally think that I have improved a lot under his teaching. Also, he can teach jazz and classical.
