Chef Heidi is a classically-trained chef who specializes in private cooking classes and cake decorating lessons. 

With Chef Heidi:
YOU choose the lesson,
YOU choose the day,
you make ALL the recipes,
with personalized, individual instruction.

Learning at a school started in the name of the world-renowned Auguste Escoffier, Heidi first attended culinary school in her early 20's, and started cooking professionally soon after - although she’s been baking and decorating cakes professionally for over ten years. While attending culinary school in Austin, Texas, she earned a 4.0 GPA as well as certifications in Nutrition, Cost Control, Culinary Management and Safety & Sanitation.

In-person classes include lesson planning, local travel, recipe booklets, time spent grocery shopping*, advance preparation, hands-on instruction, use of any specialized equipment, and clean-up. All participants can borrow my aprons. It does not include disposables, beverages or optional gratuity. *The cost of groceries is additional and varies depending on what you prefer. For example, if you request organic foods, gluten-free bread/pastry, or vegan “dairy” products, that will increase costs. I typically shop at Sprouts, HEB or Whole Foods, and would be happy to go to another specialty market upon request.

Hi, there! My name is Heidi and I can't wait to meet you! I've been cooking and cake decorating since 2012 and have loved helping my students learn to ice a cake, stack multiple tiers, and even meal preparation. I went to Auguste Escoffier School of the Culinary Arts and earned a degree in Pastry Arts in 2017. I'm an honest and outgoing person and my teaching style is hands-on, patient, and thorough. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
