Learn piano in a personalized, encouraging environment

My teaching philosophy is that learning music should be challenging, empowering, and most of all, fun! No matter what your goals, I will help you develop your musicianship. No two piano players are the same, so your interests, pace, and learning style will make a difference in our lessons.

Hello! I believe that the joy of music should always be present when you sing, and that singing is a great way to see the benefits of hard work pay off. I look forward to helping you reach your goals! I've been studying singing for sixteen years. I've performed classical, music theater, metal, jazz, and gospel music, and I've been a choir conductor, choreographer, children's group leader, and private voice teacher. I love to teach early and intermediate piano, music theory, and audition prep. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music and Linguistics from the University of Oregon and a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

As a senior adult learner, it's not easy to pick up new things. So, it's great that Heather allows me to learn at my own pace and always gives me tips on how to improve. She's the third piano teacher I've studied with and is by far the most fun!
