Book NowMy personal pedagogy is a combination of the basic technical and theoretical aspects of the instrument and what music the student is interested. It is paramount that students of all levels are learning their instrument through performing their favorite music. All necessary technical exercises can be adapted to a specific genre of music. I have many resources and a vast library of literature available for my lessons that I have compiled through my years at Berklee studying with the world's greatest bassists and theorists.
My main goal in every lesson is to be as time efficient as possible. We start with introducing new warm up exercises or new approaches to playing the instrument with confidence and facility. This is important for students of all levels so we can learn the correct ways to execute our favorite music in the most efficient way possible. From there I always spend the most time on the student's goals, like learning a new song or perhaps theory and improvisation. My ...

I earned MM in Jazz Performance, Bass Guitar Major, in 1993, and play/teach lessons for Bass Guitar since that time. My prospective students will receive rigorous training in both Bass Guitar performance and musicianship focused on the specifics of the subject of study. The level that we would begin lessons with will depend on the student's abilities and potentials. We will strive to create professional and friendly working atmosphere, and will begin lessons with careful assessment of the student's performing abilities; we will also set our goals, based on both individual expectations of students and on professional experience of the instructor. My teaching philosophy lies on three aspects; on patience with people; on love for the subject of teaching/study; and on rigorous training, offered to people, for their benefit and general musical development.
About Vasiliy
Hello, I am Vasiliy M, Boston University School of Music Alumnus (DMA in Composition). We dwell in Boston since Fall 2002; before that time , we lived in New York, where I studied Composition at Mannes College, The New School For Music. I received both BM, and MM degrees from Mannes in 19

During lessons we worked on sight reading, ear training, memorizing chords and scales, different picking and strumming patterns, theory lessons, and anything else that I discovered and wanted to try.

I joined the Air Force after high school and decided to pick up my Trombone to pursure my love of music once I got out. After a lot of time and effort I can happily say I now attend ASU where I play both Bass and tenor trombone. I have playing experience in both jazz and classical. I hope to share my experience and to provide an avenue to become a better musician.

The late Amy Winehouse tribute album Lioness: Hidden Treasures has been making waves on the UK music charts, securing the #1 spot just days after its release. Although the posthumous album has had its share of drama and questionable reviews, the collection - with its mix of covers and raw, unfinished tunes polished up by the producers - seems fitting in depicting Amy as the troubled, tattered star that she was. As she sings at the start of "Best Friends, Right?": "I can't wait to get away f …
