I graduated from Berklee College of Music Summa Cum Laude with a major in Film Scoring. I have been playing the drums for 12 years, performing with The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, Alternative Percussion Ensemble, and The Procrastinators - Bar Stool Trio. I have been teaching for over 10 years, working with High Schools throughout the Southern California Area, currently at Mayfair High School, as well with The Watchmen Drum and Bugle Corps and other marching ensembles such as Gold Drum and Bugle Corps and Dark Sky Percussion. *** Lesson Details *** I am laid back, patient, and try to create a comfortable teaching environment. In lessons, I focus on developing the students technical proficiency in their hands and feet. Then apply these techniques to styles of music that are of interest to the student. Ultimately, the goal is to develop complete control of the student's facility; giving them the confidence and creativity to play any style of music. Books I like to use; Stick Control, Accents and Rebounds, The Language of Drumming, Advanced Techniques for the Modern Drummer. *** Studio Equipment *** Music Stands, Snare Stands, Practice Pads, Metronome, 5 piece Drum Set. *** Specialties *** I specialize in marching percussion.
