Fun, Encouraging and Helpful!

Brianna was fantastic with my fourteen year old! She helped build up confidence, was very encouraging and made lessons fun. She uses a variety of techniques to teach singing skills including speech-level singing by Seth Riggs. I highly recommend her for beginners as well as for people looking to record a demo.
Allison M.
Supportive, fun, and SO knowledgeable

I started taking singing lessons because I wanted to pick up another hobby, and Briana has helped me do just that. She is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and supportive regardless of what your goals are. She makes the technical side of signing fun and enjoyable, something other teachers I have worked with have been unsuccessful at. Briana provides a positive and warm space to let loose in, and most importantly has reminded me that I don't always have to take myself so seriously. I highly recommend Briana to anyone who is looking for a teacher they can create a connection with, regardless of skill level because she can handle it all!

Talented, understanding and fun!

I just wanted to take singing lessons for fun and to build up my confidence singing around others. Briana has taken my needs into account and has done a great job putting together lessons that fit my needs. She offers a very relaxed, soothing atmosphere that gives me the comfort that I need to be able to work on my goals. She is very talented as well, which helps me feel confident in her abilities to teach me what I'm looking to learn. Overall, she is a great singing coach and I would recommend her to anyone! :o)

All music lessons at WCGA combine solid instruction in music fundamentals with the student’s personal interests and goals. Guitar students will learn chords, scales, terminology, and technique along with note reading, chord progressions, and theory. Teacher duets are common in our lessons to develop listening and timing skills. Our guitar teachers make sure every student understands the fretboard in order to execute challenging melodies and riffs along with chords that are suitable for popular, rock, jazz and other styles of music. Teachers craft each lesson to incorporate the fundamentals of guitar playing with the personal interests of each student.

About Nick

Nick is the proud owner of West Chester Guitar Academy. Boasting 20 years of guitar study and performance experience, Nick has earned a reputation for quality, reliability and variety. He is a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania 2011, summa cum laude, with a dual bachelor’s degree

My two boys ages 8 and 9 started taking piano lessons with Nick about a year ago and they love it! He is very professional, always on time, and keeps them entertained the whole time! Although they are progressing at different rates, Nick is always patient and encouraging. I highly recommend Nick and his teaching abilities!
Stacey
My two daughters have been taking guitar lessons with Nick for 2-1/2 years, both on acoustic guitar and electric guitar. He has even taught my younger daughter how to play the ukulele. Nick is an awesome guitarist teacher. My girls have learned so much from him - how to read and write music, bar chords, strumming patterns, music theory and all different genres of music (like jazz, classical and even reggae). Nick can listen to any song my daughters want to learn, then immediately put the notes down on paper and teach it to them. Under his tuition, they’ve performed solo gigs, in their school talent shows, and for and with their friends. My older daughter also plays electric guitar in a teenage rock band. Thanks so much, Nick!!

I love teaching and I have been doing it for about 6 years now. I love working with beginners, and I find myself especially good with children that are just getting to know music. Although I am open to work with any age-group.
As your teacher, we will work together to make you the most integral musician you can be. Every hand is different, so we will make sure we adjust to what works best for you and your skills.
I will share tips on how to practice and will follow up with your schedule and the amount of time you are putting towards your cello-life.
We will not only learn about cello in lessons, but also music theory (as I believe it is necessary for one to be able to not only make music, but also "talk" music.).
Since I am still a student, I am always looking for ways to make practicing more productive but also fulfilling so that is what we will do together as well.
I look forward to taking you from whatever level you may be at right now, to the most ideal performance/practice ...

About Adalus

I have loved teaching ever since I started doing so about 6 years ago. I have the most experience with children (begginners-intermediate), although I am comfortable with other age groups as well. My main goal as a cello teacher is not only for you to learn how to play the cello but to give you a b

Jil Christensen is a superhuman who comes down to Earth on occasion to help us mere mortals become better musicians. Having pushed Ableton to its limits, she is able to troubleshoot almost any issue a budding producer/composer will come up with and has a seemingly endless bag of tricks to help the student explore different possibilities for a composition. At the same time, she is able to break down the most basic concepts to get the beginner started (I didn't know what an oscillator was at my first lesson, nor had I ever used Ableton or any other DAW). In addition to being an expert in Ableton, Jil has extensive knowledge of synthesizers and other equipment both for the studio and live music production. Jil also has an encyclopedic knowledge of modern compositional techniques and years of experience implementing them. She is sure to take your music production and composition skills to the next several levels. Highly recommended!

3 Piano Hand Position Exercises for Beginners

One of the keys to successful piano playing is proper hand placement. Below, piano teacher Ryan C. shares three fun exercises beginners can do to improve their piano hand position... When trying to teach beginner students the proper piano hand position, I’ve often found that telling them to “move this finger in such and such a way” is a fairly challenging task. This is especially true if they haven’t developed finger independence through other means. It very quickly becomes n …
