Hi! My name is Harry, and I've been playing the double bass since 2007! Being fresh out of school, I have a clear memory of the different stages of development as a musician. That's why I'm confident in my ability to teach students of any level or age group; I've been in your shoes, and I'm ready to help you reach your full potential! As the product of a public school string education, I know how hard it can be to stay motivated outside the school year. I would be thrilled to work with you (and your child) to make realistic, attainable goals to work towards! Working towards regional, all-state, or even college or professional orchestra auditions? As a multi-year all-state bassist, successful college student, and experienced orchestral player, I know exactly the steps to take towards a successful audition to any program! Are you an adult who's brand-new to the double bass? I pride myself on having an accessible approach to the bass for beginners, and I'm happy to guide you along the path to making music! I hold two degrees in double bass performance; I earned my Bachelor of Music Performance at Shenandoah Conservatory (magna cum laude) in Winchester, VA in 2018, and just recently earned my Master of Music at The Hartt School (summa cum laude) in Hartford, CT in May 2021. I've taught students ranging from young children taking their first steps in music, to retirees fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing the bass! I can't wait to begin lessons with you! You'll love it!
