Hi, my name is Hardik Shah, founder of Roadside Treats. I am Indian, born in Northridge California but raised in Mumbai (Bombay), the city that never sleeps. Cooking has always been my passion. Since I was a little boy, I loved to cook, spending hours in the kitchen with my mother, making a mess but learning delicious traditional Indian recipes, using authentic seasonal, fresh ingredients and preparing everything from scratch. Today, I am still the same little boy who is in love with spending time in kitchen and experimenting with different tastes and textures. However, I am faithful to the authentic Indian traditions, flavors and ingredients. I love cooking Indian food at home all the time and I find the process of creating a home cooked meal to be unwinding. For me food is not only nourishing but also comforting, loving, fun, and pleasurable.
