Teaching since:

I have loved music my entire life, and I am committed to helping others find the same joy. For the past several years, I taught elementary general music and choir. While following the standards of the curriculum, my students especially loved getting to explore all kinds of instruments, read standard notation, and write their own music. I am well-versed in a variety of musical styles and am happy to help students discover what fits them best!

I previously earned my BA in music from the University of Rochester and an MA in music education from the Eastman School of Music. After my tenure as a public school teacher, I am back in school studying voice performance and pedagogy. Though I believe learning to sing in a classical style is healthy for all singers, I will not limit anyone to only singing in one style. I also can play piano, viola, guitar, ukulele, and everyone's favorite - the recorder.
