I've been working with Haekyung for a couple of months now after switching from my teacher of 3 years. She's been amazing, super patient and flexible with helping me learn at the pace I prefer (I'm a busy FT professional, so I have only a few hours a week to practice) and learning pieces that make me excited. Haekyung is a great communicator, very thoughtful with how to approach problems that I may be running into with my violin technique. I highly recommend her especially for anyone who wants to consistently find the JOY in playing violin...this isn't always a focus with music teachers, and she really, truly wants you to have fun and love the instrument!

I have been taking lessons with Haekyung for about a year now, and I have enjoyed working with her. She focuses on technique and form a lot to make sure I don't develop bad habits. But most importantly, she is very patient as an instructor. I don't have much time to practice, but she is understanding of my circumstances and works at slightly above my level so I can improve.
