Often looked at as an instrument for children, the tin whistle is actually a wonderful fun instrument to play! Whether a jig, reel, hornpipe or slow-air, the tin whistle fits into any Celtic ensemble! I can teach you the basics, and when you're ready we can learn more complex tunes and traditional Irish ornamentation as well!

Hi everyone, I'm Guthrie! I love music more than anything else; playing, teaching, composing are all my life passions. My styles vary from Irish flute to classical, and sometimes bagpipes on the side!
I'm originally from Washington state, but am currently living in Philadelphia. As a teacher, I like to let the student tell me how they like to learn, what kind of music they want to learn to play. I promise you will learn a lot from me, (and me from you!) and have quite a bit of fun on the side!
