I've been playing Celtic flute and whistle for nearly 12 years, and teaching for about 6 now. I love the instrument, and want to pass on the passion of the Celtic flute to all my students as well!
I teach all levels, and feel that it's necessary to let the student be taught the way that they learn best. My goal is to match your learning style so that you are playing reels and hornpipes as fast as possible!

Hi everyone, I'm Guthrie! I love music more than anything else; playing, teaching, composing are all my life passions. My styles vary from Irish flute to classical, and sometimes bagpipes on the side!
I'm originally from Washington state, but am currently living in Philadelphia. As a teacher, I like to let the student tell me how they like to learn, what kind of music they want to learn to play. I promise you will learn a lot from me, (and me from you!) and have quite a bit of fun on the side!
