I have been teaching music in Hillsborough County schools for the last 12 years. I’ve performed throughout the area in various productions, concert bands and churches. I received my Bachelors in Tuba Performance from the University of Tampa and just completed my Masters of Music Education from the University of Florida. I addition to the tuba I can teach trumpet, trombone and beginning piano, as well as some music theory for students who are interested. My goal is to help my students improve, not only as musicians, but as people. Music offers many opportunities for self improvement and discipline. Of course, I strive to make my lessons engaging and fun. On top of learning fundamentals and repertoire I let students chooose music that interests them to help them play something fun for themselves and make strides on the instrument.
