Classical Voice with Genevieve S.

Having been on off-Broadway twice and been invited to perform as soloist at 2017 & 2018 OSCAR CHINA NIGHT, I'm here to teach you to sing in both English and Mandarin (your choice)! I started to play the piano since 5 and was trained classically in voice in China. After I came to the US in 2013 and went to New York Film Academy, I dived into contemporary styles like Broadway, Pop Rock, Disney, Jazz. I'm experienced in switching between classical and modern styles, plus my background in Film/TV as well as on stage taught me to use acting to your full advantage and add on to your singing technique. I found my passion in coaching in March, 2019 when I was thrilled to work as the casting director and vocal coach for Mandarin production of MAN OF LA MANCHA premiered at Symphony Space. I believe that every person is special and is meant to shine in his/her own way, and it is important to be patient, loving and kind toward oneself during the journey of self-growth :)
