I am a violinist from Venezuela. I recently graduated from Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance where I earned my BM in Violin Performance.
I was musically raised in “El Sistema,” the famous orchestral program in Venezuela. I have performed with different ensembles throughout the United States, Aruba, Colombia, and Venezuela. In such venues as The Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall and Radio City Music Hall in NYC, The Kimmel Center's Verizon Hall in Philadelphia, and The MGM National Harbor in DC.
I have attended important music festivals such as The Aruba Symphony Festival and The Dalí Quartet Chamber Music Camp and Festival.
I believe that music is for everyone despite age or background; I am committed to guide every student to find their own path in music.
I currently serve as an Assistant Orchestra Director at a High School's String Program in Texas.
I decided to jump right into learning the violin even though I was told the violin is a difficult instrument to start with and had almost no experience with playing an instrument nor reading music. No worries though because FREDDY IS THE MAN. Really friendly, easy-going teacher that is understanding of what I needed to work on and the pace that I wanted to work on it. I also mentioned to him that I really enjoyed music theory and would like to get good at reading music so he made sure to keep an emphasis on music theory throughout our lessons. Also, Freddy provided great references as well for me to learn from outside the lesson.+ Read More
I've had the privilege to be a friend and colleague of Freddy for the past 5 years. Not only is he an extraordinary violinist, but a patient and creative teacher as well. I would highly recommend taking lessons with Freddy to any student who has the will to improve and succeed.+ Read More
Great violin teacher, as well as musician! Highly recommend!!
Maestro Freddy is a creative teacher. We are a busy family, Freddy was able to work with us around our schedule. Freddy also was very patient as we are not as consistant with practice outside class. Freddy was able to engage our son by using what he likes in live, pizza and star wars. He merged these and magically made my son practice outside of class. freddy is very patient, aware of children development needs when teaching violin and also was able to meet our language needs. We are a bi-lingual family and Freddy was able to work with us when teaching our child violin.
My son saw Freddy for a year while he was 5 years old.
I really enjoy taking lessons with Freddy. I was a bit worried about starting from scratch since I am an adult beginner, but Freddy patiently taught me the basics and to read music. I felt like I was making great progress from week to week and the lessons are always very enjoyable. Freddy is an excellent violin teacher who cares about his students. He is very professional and I would highly recommend him.+ Read More
My daughter has been playing violin for 2 years. She started in office lessons and connected with Freddy instantly. She moved to online lessons when she started high school this year and it is working out great! Even though she gets lessons from school, she refuses to give up her favorite teacher. His instructions are clear, he is patient, he keep notes on her progress and practice lessons to follow up with her each week. Highly recommend!+ Read More
