I have been teaching music for over 3 years now. I took lessons all my life. Started with piano at age 6 and flute at age 11. I have a child development degree and a teaching credential. I love working with students of all ages and levels. *** Lesson Details *** I teach by example. So any song I expect my students to play, I play first. This way they know how it should sound. I help students learn to practice by having them play measure by measure, often over and over. Often I play with the students so they can perfect the rhythms and timing. We spend time talking about key signatures, time signatures, dynamics and performance skills, technique and tone. *** Studio Equipment *** I have a piano in my studio at Nicholson's Music store in Folsom, at CB Music studios in Roseville, and in my home in Rocklin. Must bring your own flute.
