She is kind but direct and makes sure my son understands before going on with instruction. She is patient and my son loves learning new songs before leaving for the day.

Piano Lessons in Roseville, CA

By Marsha Chantaclair - Roseville Piano Teacher (https://takelessons.com/profile/marsha-k)

Hello! I'm Chantaclair, and I simply love the small-town feel of Roseville, but with a big city convenience and elegance. It has the best of both worlds. If you’re interested in taking piano lessons in Roseville, there are private music instructors as well as several music schools to serve the diverse community of committed residences with discerning tastes.

In Crocker Ranch, there are schools with strong music programs. Woodcreek High School has an award-winning music program, and the piano classes are usually full. One of the junior high schools - Cooley Middle School - has a talent show where students have an opportunity to play for the whole school!

In a music program, here are some things to look for: Does your student want performance opportunities? Ask if your instructor provides a venue and dates to perform for large and smaller groups. How about advance piano theory and education beyond your weekly piano lessons? Inquire about master classes or group lessons where students can improve their ability to share their music with others if they so choose. Several music schools also offer group lessons. Always ask what’s available; don't be shy about inquiring about what options may suit you best.

Sometimes, a student will benefit from widening their skills with opportunities to accompany a singer. Chances to play duets with other pianists or keyboardists is something to think about. One more thing to ask is if your instructor has the ability to help you learn how to write and perform your own unique style by writing your own pieces! We have a recording studio close by to make your own CD to cherish at One Eleven Recording Studio.

Additionally, there are several places in Roseville that offer live piano music as an inspiration. For example, "The Place" has a grand piano in the restaurant with a fabulous artist at 221 Vernon St. in old Roseville. Several other restaurants - such as Gingers in Roseville and Shady Coffee & Tea, The Owl Club and the Glass Turtle - even have open-mic nights for budding musicians to try their talent on the locals.

What about music? Where can you purchase what is needed, and is there additional fees for materials and books? Roseville has stores for piano music, such as Barnes and Noble and Cover to Cover; and nearby Rocklin has "The Music Store" that takes consignment pianos to buy or sell as an advantage. Also, there is a fabulous piano store at the Steinway Piano Gallery in Roseville on Pleasant Grove Blvd. Stop in and run your fingers across the beautiful 'ivories' to get inspiration! They also rent their store space out for recitals. How convenient is that?

Roseville has plenty of music opportunities and so does Rocklin, right around the corner. Check out the vast opportunities right in your own backyard. Opportunities abound for any aspiring student looking to take piano lessons in Roseville. Anything you are interested in at any level of sharing or just educating yourself is available to your own enjoyment or that of your current and future family.
