My name is Fearghas, and like you, we both got into bass for the same reason... the grooooove! Even if it's only one note, bass players are known for crafting every part of the note to perfection. So many great songs start with a memorable bass line that won't let you stay still. And it is a rewarding and viscerally physical instrument. I'll teach you how to harness this power and play in a safe, comfortable way so you can play for years! We'll look at what makes a bass line great, and how various techniques can help you achieve those sounds. We'll also work on "that feel", "the pocket", "the groove"; what a bass player is listening for so they know when to play a note, and, when not to! I'll also set you up with modern tools and communities that will keep you inspired and motivated to get better! I can't wait to get started with you.
