Learn Singing and Performance Techniques to Captivate Your Audiences

I have studied voice with teachers who have been on Broadway, TV, Film, and Opera through reputable universities like Westminster Choir College for over four years. I have also studied performance as a theatre major and am entering my senior year. Through these educational experiences, I have been in many successful educational productions of musical theatre and performed as a soloist in many state choirs. I want to share the tips and tools that have made me a successful performer to you so that you too can grow as a performer and blow the audience away! With my theatrical training, I can help you make your performance convincing; anyone with a good voice can sing a song and make it pretty, but not every performer can really sell it and wow the audience with their performance! To top it off, I have also excelled in education and pedagogy classes at App State University, one of the premier universities for education, so I know best how to meet your needs and guide you along the way to meet all of your goals!

    About Evan L.

I am a musical theatre nerd at heart. I started in theatre at the age of 11, and my first musical ever was Rodger and Hammerstein's Cinderella. Since then, I have performed as a dancer or principle character in over 30 productions. I am also a huge choir nerd as well. I have performed in the Mars Hill University choir clinic, North Carolina Honors Choir (with a perfect score as a section leader), and North Carolina Governor's School choir as well. In addition, I have experience with collegiate level choirs. As far as my education experience, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. My senior year of high school, I taught the beginner's chorus class under the direction of my high school choir director. I often would help my friends with their vocals in solos or roles in theatrical productions. My teaching experience continued into college as a theatre education major with a secondary licensure in music. First and foremost, however, I am a goofy person. I love making connections with unique people and having a good time sharing our passion for music, theatre, and the arts. I look forward to meeting you!
