I am an experienced teacher of 8 years, and have a special interest in teaching seniors.  It's never too late to learn!  All ages are welcome.  Lessons are tailored to your goals and music preferences.  Experience the healing, stress reducing benefits of playing the piano.  I also have a passion for teaching piano improvisation. Join me to learn piano in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

I started taking piano lessons when I was six years old and have been playing ever since!  I play regularly in a church and nursing home setting.  I am classically trained with a strong music theory background and am comfortable teaching classical, pop, improvisation and more.  I tailor lessons to students' interests and goals.  All ages are welcome.  I especially love to teach seniors who have always wanted to learn.  Experience the stress reducing benefits of playing the piano!

My two children (ages 7-12) have been taking lessons with Erin for 2 years and we can't say enough wonderful things about her!  She lets the kids make suggestions for music to learn like the Jurassic Park theme song for my 12yr old son and Lullaby and Goodnight for my 7yr old babydoll loving daughter.  They look forward to her lessons every time!

I casually play piano and tried teaching my daughters but classic parent-child teaching troubles was straining our relationship. Then Erin came along and both of my girls blossomed in their playing! She is patient and creative in connecting with the girls in ways that make sense to them. They also got to play in a recital and I couldn’t be prouder of them. Erin really is a gem!!!

My children absolutely love Mrs. Tenney! They have taken lessons from her for a couple of years now and she has shared with them the joy of playing piano. She is patient and positive, flexible and so good at finding pieces at the kids’ level that they are really interested in playing. She is a fantastic teacher and we highly recommend her!

Erin is an amazing piano teacher!   She taught both of my girls.  She is patient and kind with the children and is able to teach children at all levels.  I highly recommended Erin!
