Opera Voice with Erik L.

Erik is a full-time professional operatic baritone who has performed across the United States. He has a background in classical performance and choral singing but feels completely at home with musical theater, singer/songwriter, and folk genres. Erik is a warm, boisterous, and enthusiastic teacher who has tons of experience working with beginner to intermediate singers ages 10 and up. He believes in a patient and tailored approach to teaching and always works to treat every lesson in a way that is best suited to each individual student. Erik has performed with operatic companies such as The Dallas Opera, Fort Worth Opera, Madison Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, and Sarasota Opera. Erik has been recognized in competition by the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the Giulio Gari International Vocal Competition, and the Gerda Lissner Art Song Competition. Erik currently teaches the middle school choristers as a staff member at Saint Michael and All Angels in his home of Dallas, TX.
