Hi there bass player! I am a professional bassist with over 15 years of experience playing live, recording, and writing. I have a real love for playing with great time, groove, feel, and knowing the difference between the three. ;) Not only do I love everything about the low-end, I really really love to teach. Seeing students achieve their goals in each lesson while being able to see (and hear!) their own improvements from week to week is what I'm really passionate about. I enjoy working with students at all levels from complete beginner to seasoned professional. Taking bass lessons with Erica is a great experience. She's a very skilled bassist, with a deep well of musical knowledge and great taste that spans all genres: jazz, rock, blues, funk, R&B, "indie rock" and everything in between. She is dedicated to teaching proper playing technique and music theory, but she always makes things approachable and fun. As someone brand-new to the instrument, I feel like I "level up" with each lesson—which to me is the mark of a great instructor. Highly recommended!
