Beginner

I do not have a degree in music. In fact, it's what separates me from most teachers -- my approach is completely different. My 15+ years of playing guitar, 20M streams of my original music online, along with all the tips n' tricks I've picked up along the way, make for a unique learning experience.

No theory. No scales. Just the goods. Are scales bad? NO! They're useful & necessary -- but the key to developing a quick passion for guitar is being able to 1. play songs you love 2. write your own material 3. be excited to pick it up and jam.

I was born in NY and picked up the guitar at age 13. All I wanted to do was be able to write my own songs. Original songs turned into jams with friends, which turned into bands. Bands turned into touring around the country. All that travel brought me to lovely San Diego now, at age 29, with just as much excitement and energy as I was when I first started.
