Classical Piano with Eric M.

Since I began teaching privately while working towards my Music Education Degree (Ithaca College) I have developed a great passion for arts education, and the enormous benefits it provides to students, professionals, and communities. I have taught privately, In the public schools, and collegiate at SUNY Fredonia while receiving my Master's degree in music performance. (orchestral conducting.) Currently i am the music director of the Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra, and Assistant Conductor of the Greenwich Village Orchestra. I have considerable experience teaching trumpet, Piano, classical and jazz theory and performance, sight singing, and music history. These experiences have provided me with the tools and skills necessary to teach the performance and theory of music, as well as the musicianship skills necessary to become a well rounded and thoughtful musician. I believe that the education of music is paramount to the ultimate happiness and success of any individual, whether or not the arts becomes their chosen career path. I combine fun, structure, and individual attention to every lesson!
