Emma is an opera singer who has been described as a “spectacular prima donna” by belcanto.ru and as having “a large voice that carried easily over the orchestra” by the Washington Post. Her upcoming perfomances include excerpts from Die Walküre and La fanciulla del west with the Met Opera Guild.
She has performed many roles and scenes including Aida, Madama Butterfly, Liza (Pique Dame), Mimi, Fiordiligi, mother (Hansel and Gretel) Marguerite (Faust), and has been a soloist in Verdi's Requiem, The Messiah, St. Matthew Passion, Bach Cantata BWV 140, Diane au Bois (Debussy, USA premier). In 2017 Emma received an encouragement grant from the Wagner Society of New York, won the audience award and 3rd place at the Sutherland/Bonynge Foundation Elizabeth Connell Prize in Sydney, Australia, and participated in the Georg Solti Accademia di bel Canto. Emma is a native of California and received her master's degree in piano and vocal performance from George Mason University in 2013, studied voice and worked as the English diction coach at the Bolshoi Theater of Russia YAP during the 2013-14 season, and earned a professional studies certificate from Manhattan School of Music in 2016.
