Not every student learns the same, so no lesson should be the same. Lessons are customized to each student's interests and abilities.
Emily's approach to lessons is a well-rounded blend of skill development, involving technical progression, sight-reading, expressional improvising, music of the student's interest, and assigned repertoire if the student is involved in ensembles.
With her extensive experience with youth orchestras, auditions, and her well-rounded approach to learning the violin or viola, Emily's specialty is with students in the middle school and high school range. Emily is willing to teach students of most ages, from 7 years of age and older.
