- Teaches students:
- Ages 5+ and special needs
- Teaching since:
I am a strings teacher, teaching privately for 7 years and in public schools for 6. I graduated from Elizabethtown College with a Bachelors of Music in Music Education, with a concentration in violin.
Strings students can expect to improve week to week in their technique. I teach students strong foundational techniques in order to develop their abilities. I use a mixture of both technical exercises and repertoire to help any student to play with freedom, confidence, and expression.
I teach violin, viola, and cello students of all different ages and experience levels. I studied violin for 18 years, and have played viola and cello in numerous performances. I can teach students to read music and pursue classical excellence, to learn how to play contemporary music, or both depending on the goals and preference of the student. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!

Lesson was awesome. Emily was kind and patient, and my Granddaughter and I really enjoyed our group lesson. This will clearly be a treasured memory for both of us!!
Emily was an excellent teacher for my son. She helped him prepare for college auditions and helped him earn Superior ratings at Solo festivals.
