Ellen has been a professional vocalist since childhood and entered the University of Miami with the highest recommendation for scholarship as a Jazz Vocal major in the '80's. She is a top recording artist/performer here in Miami and all over the world as the lead singer with Will To Powe. Elin had a hit song on the top 100 at #2, signed with Sony/Epic Records, wrote and sang leads on her own album as EJ Waters, signed with Pyramid records while singing leads and backgrounds on numerous commercials in South Florida. Ellen pursued her career while training vocally with then legend Gina Maretta, calling Ellen her "STAR PUPIL" . Ellen is now touring with Will To Power, singing and playing guitar in a Christain band, doing commercial voice over work, teaching children at a musical arts/dance theater singing at her Church and giving voice lessons. Ellen teaches Gina's belt/power method, which is useful for contemporary singing, musical theater, or live performance, increasing range and control, creating a presence that stands out in the studio or live--professional or an up and comer.+ Read More

I am currently working at an academy where the students, the staff and I are preparing for two musicals with two different age groups! For the younger, we are working on Seusical the Musical, and the older students are working on FAME. I also help students with individual vocal training for their competitions and help them learn music for the upcoming musicals.+ Read More
Leads the youth service by singing and playing her guitar
During these years I sang demos, voice overs, commercials on-hold advertisements, and background vocals as needed for this production company as well as production of other talent that were signed to the company. They called me their secret weapon lol!
Also during this time I freelanced between Miami and West Palm Beach recording jingles, background vocals, station ID's, and lead demos.
After coming off the road with Will To Power, I signed a development deal with With A Bullet Productions and started writing, collaborating and recording songs in the hopes of finding my "sound". Afterwhich I signed with Pyramid Records and went on the road promoting my record with my band and sometimes with just my guitar player and me. This album was under the name EJWaters. I got as far as 22 on the pre Billboard/Gavin chart with my first song Coours of the World, and released my second song, I'm Not Crazy, which also did well on the Gavin chart.+ Read More
I auditioned for Sony/Epic Records after singing backgrounds for the first album here at Criteria Recording Studios and earned the position of lead singer for the second album and immediately started recording and production. When the album was finished we went on tour promoting the record, performing in 27 cities in the united states and Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. I performed in stadiums and clubs as well as doing promotion interviews live at radio stations in each city before the shows. What a great experience!+ Read More
I auditioned and won a spot on the Nationally Syndicated Hit show, Starsearch in 1986, (yesterday's version of American Idol) where I performed an original song on October 18, 1986. I lost to a Los Angeles singer named Cheryl Barnes.
I had the highest recommendation and attended on a full scholarship in the jazz vocal music school at U of M
Prior to taking lessons with Ms.Ellen, I could hold a tune, but was constantly straining my voice. Ms.Ellen's expertise and patience helped me develop critical vocal techniques such as breath support, strength and diction. The longer I sing, the sharper it gets ! Ms.Ellen has also taught me the importance of character development in each song (which will aid me as I prepare for a career in musical theater). She is my secret weapon !!!+ Read More
Ellen has been wonderful to work with. She is has been teaching my 15 year old daughter with special needs. She is patient and has taught my daughter so much about her voice. She guides my daughter in vocal exercises to help her bring her voice forward and is creative during their warm up exercises. We go to Ellen once a week for an hour and are trying to see her more often. My daughter loves going to see Ellen and we look forward to continue working with her.+ Read More
I have learned so much working with Ellen. I was scared to sing, and Ellen brought me out of my shell. She comes up with specific words to create the right sounds, tailoring my lessons for me. Her style is both sweet and disciplined. Even though I am working hard to learn a new set of skills, Ellen makes it easy and fun.
I am excited to continue to study with Ellen and grow as a vocalist. She is training me both in singing and voice over work.
Ellen has been working with my daughter Ashlee for about 6 months now and the progress she has made with her has been exceptional. She is so good at teaching them how to get the most out of their voice. We have been thrilled with how far Ashlee has come so quickly!+ Read More
