Mad dance Academy

I am currently working at an academy where the students, the staff and I are preparing for two musicals with two different age groups! For the younger, we are working on Seusical the Musical, and the older students are working on FAME. I also help students with individual vocal training for their competitions and help them learn music for the upcoming musicals.

Pyramid Records

After coming off the road with Will To Power, I signed a development deal with With A Bullet Productions and started writing, collaborating and recording songs in the hopes of finding my "sound". Afterwhich I signed with Pyramid Records and went on the road promoting my record with my band and sometimes with just my guitar player and me. This album was under the name EJWaters. I got as far as 22 on the pre Billboard/Gavin chart with my first song Coours of the World, and released my second song, I'm Not Crazy, which also did well on the Gavin chart.

Mascot Records

During these years I sang demos, voice overs, commercials on-hold advertisements, and background vocals as needed for this production company as well as production of other talent that were signed to the company. They called me their secret weapon lol! Also during this time I freelanced between Miami and West Palm Beach recording jingles, background vocals, station ID's, and lead demos.

Sony/Epic

I auditioned for Sony/Epic Records after singing backgrounds for the first album here at Criteria Recording Studios and earned the position of lead singer for the second album and immediately started recording and production. When the album was finished we went on tour promoting the record, performing in 27 cities in the united states and Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. I performed in stadiums and clubs as well as doing promotion interviews live at radio stations in each city before the shows. What a great experience!

STARSEARCH

I auditioned and won a spot on the Nationally Syndicated Hit show, Starsearch in 1986, (yesterday's version of American Idol) where I performed an original song on October 18, 1986. I lost to a Los Angeles singer named Cheryl Barnes.

I had the highest recommendation and attended on a full scholarship in the jazz vocal music school at U of M
