Teaching since:

One of my primary goals teaching violin is to instill a love for music in my students and provide them with a vehicle for self expression. My interest in the violin started when I was 6 years old. I discovered quickly that playing music was a wonderful way for me to express myself. Through my violin I could speak an entirely different language.
I have played the violin for over 30 years and have been playing with various community orchestras and ensembles throughout my adult life, including the Windsor Community Orchestra, Orchestra Toronto (Ontario, Canada) and the Peninsula Symphony (San Mateo, California). I am a registered violin teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas and have received teacher training from the Southwestern Ontario Suzuki Institute and the Suzuki Institute of Montreal.
Over the last 8 years my focus has been on children. I have three children of my own and have worked very closely with kids and their families at the preschool and elementary school level as a teacher assistant, parent volunteer, board member and more recently as a private violin teacher. Seeing a child's capacity to learn, witnessing their keenness to observe and their ability to adapt has ignited my desire to guide children in their creative expression, to reach their full potential.
