Hi, my name is Elena. I love music and would be happy to teach anyone who will in some way benefit and fall in love with the piano. I began playing piano in St. Petersburg, Russia and continued (from age 10) studying at The Juilliard School in New York City. I studied at The Juilliard for 14 years -- ultimately earning my BA and MA degrees. I worked with some of the world's most renowned pianists and teachers -- Nadia Reisenberg, Adele Marcus, William Masselos, Jacob Lateiner, Vladimir Viardo, Dorothy DeLay, Harvey Shapiro and Tossy Spivakovsky. I am a concert pianist and a recording artist. I have performed throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and Russia. I have performed solo recitals, been a soloist with numerous orchestras, and have played many different kinds of Chamber Music. I have collaborated with many contemporary composers who wrote dedicated their music to me. My teaching career began at The Juilliard School where I became an Assistant to my Pre-College teacher at 18 years old. Since then, I have taught numerous students preparing them for performances, auditions for specialized schools, national and international competitions and auditions to some of the most prestigious conservatories in the world. I am very strict but I never yell and try to have as much fun as possible during the lessons. I look forward to meeting you!!!!!!!
