For the past decade I have combined my Russian training as a classical pianist with my studies of contemporary music in the piano lessons I have given to an ever larger number of students. I completed the Russian Conservatory in St. Petersburg,with Masters Degree on a class of a piano. Later graduated from the Theater Academy. My thorough study of motion pictures resulted in an appreciation of songs and arrangements that have become popular throughout the world. Every year the number of students who have studied with me has increased, to the point where come to my home for their lessons. We practice on my Rohler and Campbell grand piano, and on occasion will listen to recordings of songs so that my students appreciate the popular context of the music they are studying. Although I am very attentive to technique and believe that mastering an instrument requires a certain degree of discipline, I fully understand that my young students – some as young as five – often lack the patience for diligent study. During the years I have taught I have devised many ways to interest them in playing the piano and pride myself on the success I have had. I welcome new students and offer a free lesson to anyone who is interested in beginning to experience the wonders of playing the piano.
