I began my formal study of music and voice in January 2008. I began this journey not knowing how to read music or play the piano. As of now, I am currently completing my masters degree in vocal performance. As a teacher, my advantage lies in the fact that I did not begin learn music until I was 19 years old, which meant that I had to really become aware of what I was lacking compared to my peers who have had music and voice training since they were 12 or younger. As a result, I learned to work faster and more efficiently than most of my peers. I could not afford to waste time or energy. Otherwise, pursuing a career in classical music would have been unthinkable and a waste of time. This experience has shaped my teaching philosophy. I firmly believe that a teacher's responsibility is to provide his/her student the tools to teach themselves. To accomplish this, I aim to impart each of my student with the knowledge and skills I gained throughout the years.
