    Develop your songwriting & production with a composer/producer. 17 years experience making albums

    Music evolves fast. However, many of the techniques taught to students represent past eras of songwriting and production styles. We need a music theory, and a songwriting process, suited for the 2020's and beyond. In our lessons, we will engage deeply with your own songwriting goals and skills, developing techniques that will help you bring your music to another level. We can study instrumental recording and arrangement, lyrical development and voice, digital processes like MIDI drum programming, sampling, and audio mixing. Whatever you need most to expand your own songs and composer's toolkit will determine our curriculum. All genres, from classical to trap, dubstep, rock, jazz and pop.

    Hi! I'm Doug, a songwriter, producer, and multi-media artist with over a decade experience making albums and releasing music. While many teachers can deliver the basics of music theory and composition, I am focused on new music and songwriting on the cutting edge. We can work together to combine the best of classical, 20th-century pop, and 21st-century electronic music techniques to push your work to its highest possible level. With experience in the industry, I am also thrilled to discuss the entirety of your project, including bringing your songs to market and the entire branding/publishing pipeline involved. Or if you are just starting to write songs, we will set you on a path to shatter your own creative horizons. I am excited to meet you and chat about how we can level you up!
