Learn to not only Harness the Technical aspects of Voice, but understand how to sing with Passion
Hey Guys! I am classically trained singer with 12 years under my belt. I have performed all over the world. Here is a small list of places I can remember off the top of my head. California - Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, New York - Disney Hall, The Dorothy Chandler, London - Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, China - The Great Wall, The Forbidden City I realize there are a lot of different teachers on this website, but I am set apart by my teaching style. As a voice student all my life, I was always so annoyed about having to spend months to get results from teachers who drew out my progress to get more money. I don't play that way. I am very specific and can pretty much hear the problems from first listen. Here is how I teach. First diagnose the problem. Second I need to make sure you can hear the problem so that you can self regulate. The worst thing is only being able to sound good around your teacher, and having a hard time when they aren't around. Lastly we fix the problem and move on. I teach to all levels of experience. Most class time is spent teaching technique, not music. I promise lessons are fun and happy go lucky, but effective nonetheless.
About Donovan G.

I teach in a very distinct fashion. From experience, I was always frustrated with teachers who prioritized gaining return business over getting results. I have evolved from those experiences into a teacher whose main goal is results. I am here to help you achieve better vocal strength and confidence. We are going to talk about things you never even knew existed. Breath support secrets, the way to pronounce dip or triphthongs, note eclipses, etc. One of the ways that I find most empowering and motivating to get a point across is to compare it to a modern singer. Together we will examine why certain singers sound so good, and I will show you exercises to achieve that tone quality. It will surprise you to know, that what these famous singers are doing is not revolutionary, or complicated. Philosophy -> As much as we use other singers for a base line, I am not interested in making you sound like Mariah Carey. This is cliche, but bear with me. Singing is the only instrument in which every single person is different. If I make you sound like Mariah Carey, the best you're gonna achieve is a party impersonator. No thanks. Let's make you pop star material. That is only achieved through a discovery of self which we will explore in our singing.

California - Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, New York - Disney Hall, The Dorothy Chandler, London - Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, China - The Great Wall, The Forbidden City I have been teaching for 4 years in private and group settings. I currently teach a choral music class and direct a choir. I have done that for two years now. I have experience in literally every field of voice. I have performed pop shows, operas, musicals, classical art songs and much much more. I am ready to meet you where you are at, so we can make something incredible.
